Hi Guys! I hope you are all having a great week so far. Today I am super excited because we leave for our big trip to Sweden and Croatia! I am so excited but also super anxious about the trip. When we booked this trip, it was really early into my pregnancy and neither Matt nor I knew how hard pregnancy was going to be, so it may have been a little overzealous of us. Either way, we are booked and are still going and this Mama is up for the challenge! Technically I am allowed to travel until 34 weeks and my doctor gave us the ok. (I’m 30 weeks tomorrow) We booked business class flights for the long legs of the trip so I am hoping i’ll be comfortable since I’ll be able to recline and sleep. I won’t be posting on the blog while I’m away but I will be posting on my Instagram account as much as I can if you want to follow along on our trip. We are visiting my family in Sweden and then heading to Croatia for a wedding. We will be gone for almost two full weeks and I can’t wait to take a little time away with Matt before baby gets here!

Anyways, on to this outfit! How pretty is this dress?! I am planning on wearing it to the rehearsal dinner at the wedding so spoiler ha! I wanted to share with you guys before it sells out since it is so gorgeous and sizes are going fast! It’s made of a scuba material and is super comfortable. It runs true to size (I’m wearing a 6). I paired it with a neutral heel and bag. Not sure if any of you other Mama’s out there had this happen to you, but all of a sudden my feet are HUGE! They no longer fit in any of my shoes. These are the only heels that will accommodate my wide feet haha! I even had to extend the buckle of my Birkenstocks…how insane is that?! I have read that swelling in the feet is normal but I hate not being able to fit int0 most of my shoes. I am going to run to a sneaker store today to buy some wide fit shoes to wear on our trip haha! There could be worse problems I guess!

I hope you all have a great rest of your week and a happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Dress: WAYF

Hi Guys! I wore this pink non-maternity dress yesterday on my Instagram stories and a bunch of you reached out about where to buy it! I actually got it last year before our trip to the Bahamas but it’s back in stock in three colors! This dress is so comfortable and oversized enough to stretch to accommodate my bump ha! It’s also super lightweight and I love the midi length.

Today, I am 29 weeks pregnant! Baby girl is the size of a cauliflower which I have a tough time visualizing lol! This weekend Matt is running the Brooklyn Half Marathon!! God bless him! He has worked so hard training for this and I couldn’t be prouder. Follow along on Instagram to see the sign I had made for him. It’s amazing! Shout out to Jaime Horton!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Dress: Asos Maternity also here, similar here Wedges:  Michael Kors Purse: Louis Vuitton

Hi Guys! This past weekend Matt and I flew down to St. Mary’s Georgia to spend time with my family for my baby shower and Mother’s Day celebration. My Mom, sister and family threw Matt and I such a wonderful baby shower luncheon and it was absolutely perfect. Family is so important to me and being around them is my favorite thing in the world. We had lunch at the club my grandparents belong to, opened gifts and took some photos on the green. The weather was gorgeous and the company was even better! I wore this pink and white polka dot maternity dress from Asos. I also wore it for my gender reveal photoshoot. I am so bummed it’s all sold out but I was so lucky and snagged the last one in my size for under $30!! It has been such a great dress option! I linked some other polka dot options for you guys below.

Also, I got an organic spray tan for the first time in my life a few days before we left for Georgia and oh my gosh my life has been rocked! It looks so natural and I can’t tell you how much better I feel with a little tan on my skin. If you’re interested in trying it out, I went to Olive Organics in NYC. It’s obviously so much better for you than really tanning your skin so I have a feeling I’ll be going back at least once a month!!

Xoxo, J

MY 28 WEEK BUMPDATE!

9

Thanks for stopping by!! I am officially into my third trimester and 28 weeks pregnant! I am sharing a little look into where I’m at emotionally and physically below! xoxo!

How far along are you?

I’m 28 weeks today! Officially 7 months pregnant. I honestly can’t believe I am already 7 months along. It really is starting to fly by. Baby girl will be here before you know it!

Due Date:

August 4th

What are your cravings?

Not really craving anything that much. I do love fruit and citrus still and have grapefruit almost every day.  All of a sudden I have been having a lot of numbness in my upper left rib cage and my doctor told me that is because my stomach has been smushed up into that corner! I notice that if I overeat it is a lot more numb and uncomfortable so I try not to eat a lot in one sitting. That has become a challenge ha! It’s hard to portion yourself when you’re hungry!

Boy or Girl?

Baby Girl!

What size is the baby?

One of my apps says that baby girl is the size of a large eggplant and the other says she is the size of a papaya. Both say she is around 2.5 lbs. I am starting to feel the “heaviness” of carrying a baby. It really puts a huge strain on your body. My back is all kinds of messed up and decides to sort of pop in and out of place sometimes. It ain’t easy!

How much weight have you gained?

23 lbs! I gained 8 lbs in one month! Kind of crazy right?!

How are you sleeping?

I have been sleeping well until the last week. I have been waking up STARVING in the middle of the night even after eating a full meal for dinner. I am going to start keeping a few bars in the drawer of my bed side table haha!

Have you felt the baby kick yet?

Yes! She is SO active. She is most active after I eat and at night. After I eat, it’s like she gets a little rush of energy. She also moves a lot at night when I lay down on my back. I can’t tell if she likes it or hates me being in that position. I can actually see her kicking now, not just feel her. Matt has been able to see it too which is so special.

What has been the hardest thing about your pregnancy thus far?

I think the physical part of pregnancy is the hardest for me. Your body changes every day and your organs and all your bones are moving around. It’s really crazy. It’s also hard knowing it’s only going to get harder until she gets here haha. I am trying to just stay positive and live in the moment and let myself have “moments” if you know what I mean. I think sometimes you just have to let yourself get upset and cry it out. Letting it out helps me. The other night I was so uncomfortable because I overate and my stomach was numb and pulsing and hurting me, my back was in so much pain and I just burst into sobs haha. Matt was there to make me feel better and rub my back and once I cried it out, I felt better. I let the feeling out, and then I moved on. I am sure it won’t be my last break down but at least I felt better after my “episode” ;).

What do you miss about before being pregnant?

Working out, wine and having energy to go out. I swear I turn into a pumpkin after 8 P.M. haha!

Thoughts, and extras

As much as this has been the hardest thing i’ve ever done I feel so blessed and can’t wait to meet this little angel. This weekend we traveled to St. Mary’s Georgia for my family baby shower and to celebrate Mother’s Day! It was absolutely perfect to spend time with my favorite people!

Happy Thursday everyone! I am excited to share this look today and to also tell you guys all about a new app I have recently discovered called The Trove app !

It’s kind of a brilliant idea and I’m surprised it hasn’t really existed until now. It basically makes shopping super fast and efficient. Using the app, you can discover new bloggers with the swipe of a finger! You can shop their looks directly from the app! You can even search to see who is local to you as well as search by category. Once you start discovering new bloggers, you can hit the star button and those blogger’s content will show up on your feed every time you open up the app. Another cool feature is that you can create your very own closet and save other blogger looks that give you inspiration! I just recently joined the Trove community so you can now shop my looks on there as well as discover others! Pretty cool, huh!?

Anyways, on to this look! The weather in NYC has been so weird and spring hasn’t really made its debut. I have been doing my best to transition into spring outfits without freezing to death, so I have been wearing this Blank NYC suede jacket a lot. It’s so versatile and looks super cute paired with jeans, over a maxi or even with sweats! I have worn all three looks ha! I wore it over this adorable maxi dress by Tart Maternity and loved being warm while also staying spring ready! I am actually happy that I am going to be my most pregnant during the summer so I can just wear maxi dresses and flats and sandals. Tart  has some beautiful styles and the fabrics and fit are incredible comfy.

This weekend I am heading to St. Mary’s Georgia for my family baby shower! My Nana lives in St. Mary’s and is hosting it for me along with my Mom and sister. Matt is joining and going to play a little golf with the boys. I can’t wait!

Hey Everyone!! I hope you all had a fabulous week. I am so ready for the weekend it isn’t even funny! I was in Phoenix at the beginning of this week for work, back in the office the last two days and have been GO GO GO until now. I’m looking forward to sleeping in and staying in all weekend. I secretly like when the weekend forecast calls for rain! I don’t feel as guilty being a lazy bum ;)!

Anyways, on to this look. I have recently embraced the fact that I will most likely be in sneakers for most of the time until baby girl arrives. As some of you know who have been following my pregnancy journey thus far, you know I have pregnancy caused Planter Fasciitis in my feet. It has actually gotten a little better, but wearing sneakers and supportive shoes has helped in making me feel better so I don’t want to chance wearing heels unless it’s a special occasion. That being said, I have been styling a lot of sporty looks recently! The dress I am wearing is not maternity but it totally fits the bump! I just ordered one size up, so it is definitely true to size. I paired it with sneakers of course, and my new oversized “girlfriend” jean jacket. I have a feeling i’ll be getting a ton of use out of these pieces in the coming months!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Dress: Nom Maternity C/O Sneakers: Kenneth Cole Hat: Windsor Earrings: H&M (sold out) Similar: Shoptiques Bracelet: Kate Spade

Happy Thursday everyone! Holy moly I am bumpin’! All of a sudden I feel like I am HUGE and I still have 12 weeks to go. I am not sure how my body will expand anymore but apparently it is going to ha! I was so excited when I received this Nom Maternity maxi dress in the mail. The color is so pretty and it’s literally the most comfortable dress on the planet. It’s also transitional so you can wear it during pregnancy and afterwards. The top is breastfeeding friendly which is also super convenient! I’m a huge fan of their line and highly recommend!

In other news, I am 27 weeks tomorrow. I was recently in Phoenix Arizona for work and felt the real affects of flying while pregnant! It isn’t the easiest thing to be in a plane for 5 hours I’ll tell you that much. I wore compression socks and tried to move around a little bit, but it was really uncomfortable. Matt and I have a big trip coming up in a few weeks. We are heading to Sweden and Croatia! We booked business class flights for the long legs so that I can lay flat but if anyone has any travel tips for pregnant ladies please send them my way!

I hope you all have a great rest of your week!
