Hi Guys! Happy Sunday! It has been so gorgeous here in NYC this weekend and it is giving me LIFE! I got this outfit last week and was so excited to wear it but it was of course FREEZING, so I paired it with a sweater and boots. Once the weather changed to warm I was super excited to style the skirt for a spring day! The skirt is currently on sale for $30 and available in all sizes so go scoop it up! The earrings are also 50% off. I am sure you guys have noticed me wearing them ALL THE TIME. I wore them here and here as well!

I hope you like this outfit post! I was thinking it would be fun to include a random list of 5 things that have been on my mind for the past week so here goes!

  1. Have you guys heard of the F-Factor diet? I had been following Tanya Zuckerbrot for a while (She is the founder of the diet) and finally decided to start it! I read her book and started 10 days ago. I am 5 lbs down in 10 days! It’s amazing and doesn’t feel like a diet, more of a lifestyle. You can even have wine and cheese on the diet! Here is a link to her diet book if you’re interested.
  2. I just started watching Lost in Space on Netflix and it is SO GOOD! I used to babysit Mina Sundwall who plays Penny in the show. She is of course my favorite part!!! Everyone go watch it!
  3. Charlee just started crawling this week and it’s SO cute. Good thing I introduced the baby play pen early. She loves being in there with all her toys.
  4. I got a makeover at Sephora a few weeks ago and I can’t get enough of my new CC cream by IT Cosmetics! It seriously makes my skin look luminous!
  5. I may be late to the party on this, but I just found the most amazing self tanner at CVS by Loreal. It’s really easy to apply. I took a shower and exfoliated my skin before applying the tanner. It’s a great option because it comes in a spray bottle and applies evenly. You don’t even have to rub it in. You just let it dry for about 15 minutes. Then I went to sleep and woke up tan and bronzed! I highly recommend!

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and cheers to the best week ahead!

Today is our two year wedding anniversary!! I honestly can not believe it’s already been two years. The last few years have been the best years of my life and spending them with Matt has been the reason why. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in life. He is my best friend on planet earth and I honestly can’t say enough about how happy he makes me. Once I met him I felt complete, and I just love him so much! I wanted to share a few images from our wedding day. These are such precious memories and I love looking back on the day we became one forever.

Dress: Stowaway Collection C/O White Duster: Old, Similar Style here and here Heels: Christian Louboutin  Necklace: INC Concepts

Happy Good Friday everyone! Matt and I are currently en route to Newport, Rhode Island for our babymoon! I am so excited to get away and celebrate the two of us and this little angel girl!

Stowaway Collection reached out to me and asked if they could send me a few options from their maternity line! I love this blue dress and the little extra detail on the sides of it. It’s SUPER comfortable and I could totally dress it down with a jean jacket and sneakers. I decided to dress it up for an Easter look with nude pumps and an oversized white duster jacket. I figure I should get use of this white duster before baby arrives. I doubt I’ll be able to keep this thing clean after she gets here haha! Stowaway  launched in the fall of 2016 and was designed to take you from desk to dinner, dressed up or down easily. All their products are made in the USA and are stretchy, comfortable and more importantly flattering! SCORE! They have really great items and I recommend you check out the rest of the site for more of their collection!

On another note, today I am 6 months pregnant! WOW! I really can’t believe I am already here. It’s gone so fast! I figure I should do a big bumpdate for you guys to give you a little more insight as to how I’m doing so far!

How far along are you?

I am 6 months pregnant today, or 24 weeks along. Only 4ish months to go. Again, remember how I said you are really pregnant for 10 months…? Yea…

Due Date:

August 4th

What are your cravings?

My intense cravings have sort of gone away and I no longer have any real aversions to anything. That said, I am loving citrus. I try to have a piece of grapefruit every day because it tastes DELICIOUS to me!

Boy or Girl?

Baby Girl!

What size is the baby?

Baby girl is the size of a large Zucchini or eggplant and weighs around 1.3- 1.5 lbs. I actually went to the doctor a few weeks ago and she told me that she thinks I am going to have a big baby which of course royally freaked me out. She said that my weight gain is on target but that my belly looks bigger than my gestational age which leads her to believe baby girl will be big. Matt was an 11 pound baby so this information is terrifying. I just hope she is a reasonably sized big baby lol but I’ll take what God gives me!

How much weight have you gained?

This was an interesting question but I am not shy so I don’t mind letting you guys in on this! I have gained around 15 lbs so far which is right on target for my height and previous weight. It is weird to just constantly watch your weight increase but it’s supposed to!

How are you sleeping?

Still sleeping well. I have had to start sleeping with a stretch boot for the planter fasciitis that has come on from the pregnancy which is a little annoying. That said, nothing has kept me from getting shut eye thus far. I LOOOOOVE my sleep.

Have you felt the baby kick yet?

Yes! I feel her everyday. She is getting stronger and stronger. It is such a weird sensation and feels like an alien is inside of me haha!

What has been the hardest thing about your pregnancy thus far?

In the beginning it was my back pain and body changing so much but at this point I am just going to generalize and say ALL PHYSICAL PAIN. I have had back pain since month three and now I have been diagnosed with planter fasciitis in my heels so I have been feeling the physical pains from pregnancy pretty hard. I am unable to exercise which is fine, but it can be very frustrating at times. I have also been dealing with a lot of swelling in my feet and calves and just general discomfort. That said, I don’t want to sound ungrateful and I would literally do anything for this little girl inside me. I’ll do whatever it takes to bring her into this world but that doesn’t mean it’s easy!

What do you miss about before being pregnant?

Wine! HAHA! I have finally gotten to the place where I actually miss drinking. I think it’s the weather getting warmer and the idea of sitting outside with a glass of rose just sounds glorious. I’ll have to save the Rose for fall this year!

Thoughts, and extras

We just moved into our new apartment and I started to unpack things and set up the nursery for baby girl. I have hung up a few of her little onsies and it is just all becoming so much more real. I can’t believe we are going to have this little person in our home in the next 4 months!!! I just love her so much already. I can’t wait to meet her!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. It was SO gorgeous yesterday in NYC and today is just as pretty. I think we have officially entered spring!!! Yahoo!

I decided to have some fun and mix up a few patterns for today’s look. I am a huge fan of leopard and consider the pattern a neutral. As you can tell, I have had a lot of fun styling these leopard booties all year long. I think I have posted them in multiple outfits! I linked to a similar pair that I am probably going to end up buying myself to replace these. They have certainly gotten worn in!

I took a basic jeans and t-shirt look and pumped it up a notch by adding a kimono duster and fun booties. I love taking a basic base of a look and making it bright, fun and colorful. I hope you guys agree!

In other news, I am over 5 1/2 months pregnant. I will be 23 weeks on Friday! I am thinking ill do another “bumpdate” around my 6 month date so keep the questions coming!

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I’m back again featuring another fabulous Angela Roi handbag. I am all about the oversized bucket bag. As a New Yorker, I am constantly walking everywhere. I walk to work every morning and very rarely do I go straight home after the work day. Sometimes I am headed to happy hour, or to a workout class so having a chic oversized bag to throw everything I may need into is a must! This Angela Roi bag is the perfect size and looks so chic! If you’re looking for a high quality bucket bag for yourself, or for a Holiday gift, look no further!

Cheers to a great week ahead!

Hi Everybody! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with lots of yummy food, family and friends. We returned from L.A. late last night and it was right back to work for both of us. We had SUCH an amazing time and it was tough to bare the chill in NYC after spending all our time outside in L.A!

I recently had the opportunity to partner with Angela Roi to feature some of their amazing handbags! Created on the foundation of kindness, values and love, Angela Roi is an ethical luxury handbag brand. Their handbags are made from Premium Vegan Leather (EPUL) and do not disapoint. Just look how gorgeous this bag is! I decided to pair it with black and white to make the red pop. At $155 this bag is the perfect Christmas gift!

I hope you all have a great week!

Hey Everybody! Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all having a fabulous week so far. This past weekend we celebrated Matt’s birthday and it was so fun! Almost too much fun as I needed a few days to recover hah!

This fall I have been all about the bodysuit! I love the convenience of it and the way it stays put in my jeans and pants. This Asos bodysuit is a tall size, but it doesnt run too long. I’d say it is more regular sizing. Anyways, I wanted to showcase these amazing new over the knee boots and I knew a basic bodysuit would be an awesome compliment. I wanted to keep the look simple and have the boots be the focus. I had been on the look out for a cheaper version of the Stuart Weitzman Highland Over the knee boots. They are GORGEOUS but I had a tough time justifying the spend on them. When I found these Steve Madden OTK boots I was thrilled because I felt they had the exact same look and the quality was on par, for the fraction of the price!

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week!

Hi Guys! This summer has been one of the busiest summers EVER! The weather has been incredible and we have definitely taken advantage and traveled a ton. I haven’t been posting as often because we have been traveling so much so I apologize about that. Once the fall comes back around ill be back on track! In the meantime, I thought I would put together an Instagram Photo round up so you guys could shop some of my recent outfits and also get a little insight as to what we have been up to!

I am sure you guys are getting sick of hearing about my obsession with 305Fitness, but I am just so obsessed! It is literally the most fun I have everyhad working out and has completely changed the way I look at exercise. I actually look forward to class!! For class, I always try and wear tight fitting leggings and the best ones I have found are by Danskin. Their styles fit me perfectly and come in super fun colors. I linked mine below:

I am sure you guys saw on Facebook and Instagram that we went to Maine for a long weekend to celebrate my Grandparents’ 80th birthdays. How cute are they by the way!? I wore this look on Saturday for touring around South Portland with the hubby :).

On their way back from South Portland, my Mom and step Dad stopped in NYC to spend a few days with us. We had so much fun and snapped this pic when doing some damage at Bloomingdales!

I recently decided to start a book club! We had our first meet up and discussed the book “Me Before You.” Have you read it? It’s such a great book club book and we all had an awesome discussion. Anyways, not sure what you are supposed to wear to a book club, but I was hosting and wanted to look nice so I wore this bright outfit from Zara! I linked these options for you below!

With the weather being so insanely warm these past few weeks, we have been spending our time at…more like IN the pool haha! I absolutely LOVE this Joe Boxer bikini that I found at Kmart. The best news is that it is only $14 lol!

I hope you all enjoyed this week’s Instagram round up! This weekend we are heading to Charlotte, NC to celebrate my birthday with my family! Check in to my Instagram to see all the fun we get into!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Spring Cleaning. That word literally used to give me anxiety. That is until I spent an evening with the incredible Molly Emerson of The Organizing Act.

I have never been a naturally organized person…just take a look at the photo of my closet below! In fact, organizing is probably something I might be the worst at on my list of talents. This kind of stinks for someone with a TON of clothes and a small NYC closet. As I have gotten older, I have figured out some ways of organizing, or “tricking” myself into keeping things neat. I found that if I made a “home” for items, they would be easier to put away in comparison to items that didn’t have a place to go home to. In NY though, I used to think it was literally impossible for things to all have a “home” since we are all so pressed for space.

I had gotten a little fed up with my closet and reached out to my friend Molly for help. Incredibly, she obliged and came over on a Friday after work to help me. With a little wine, and Molly’s expertise, my closet was transformed. Lucky for my readers, she has given me VIP tips that she only shares with her clients. Check out the closet transformation below!

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.27.47 PM

So this was my closet. I am actually embarrassed to be showing you guys how awful it used to be! The door wouldn’t shut and I would simply keep hanging items on top of items as I hung them up. NOT a good strategy.

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.27.57 PM

This is the way I stored my handbags. Really nicely organized right?! NOT! I have a few designer handbags in there that are literally crying out for help. Also, you can see a sweater poking through the middle. Ridiculous.

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.28.05 PM

To the left on my closet, I stored sweaters in a see through box. Which is actually the ONLY thing I had that Molly recommended. She says to only ever purchase see through boxes so you can always see what is inside.  She also taught me how to fold my sweaters and items more efficiently so my sweater game was even stronger! Ha! To the other side of that, I stored a larger sweater that didn’t fit in the boxes, our extra bed sheets, and a yoga matt…awesome.

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.28.12 PM

Now if you thought my closet couldn’t possibly get any worse, you just needed to take a look at the way I stored my shoes. I literally didn’t. I just threw them into the bottom right corner of my closet. SUPER efficient…

After showing Molly the worst of the worst, she assured me that this wasn’t the worst closet she had ever seen. She said that it wasn’t even close to the worst…which was a little concerning but made me feel better about my disorganized self.

After taking in the damage, Molly got to work. She shared with me some very important things to keep in mind. I shared her tips below:

My number one rule is: Don’t keep anything in your closet that doesn’t make you feel amazing. Whether we like to admit it or not, clothing plays a huge part in our lives. Good outfits can make you feel like you can conquer the world! So why would you want to keep something that makes you feel anything less? Plus, if you’re not putting certain items into use, you’re wasting their existence! It took time and energy to create these products and there are many people in this world that would love and appreciate your treasures!

If that doesn’t convince you enough, here are some more reasons people want to keep items, but should not:

  • “If I loose 5 pounds, this will look great!” No! You want things that make you feel perfect NOW!
  • “My godmother gave this to me…” If you give it away, it doesn’t mean you don’t love her!
  • “I’ve had this for 20+ years!” Unless it’s still in flawless condition or you’re DEFINITELY going to pass it down to your children, bid farewell!
  • “I’ve never worn, this BUT…” If you haven’t worn it by now, chances are you won’t in the future!
  • “I love this, but it needs to be tailored” Unless you’re going to take it to the tailor by the end of the week, say goodbye!

Getting rid of the items you don’t use allows you to let go of your past and discover the present you! Leaving your heart, mind, and home open for new, wonderful experiences.

This was really hard for me to comprehend! I don’t consider myself a “hoarder” per say, but I can always think of an excuse to keep a piece of clothing. As a fashion blogger, I am always trying to re-style an item in a new way. That said, if it doesn’t fit, if I haven’t worn it etc. it really should get kicked to the curb…so we started to take everything out of the closet to determine what I was going to KEEP, GIVE AWAY, OR DISPOSE.

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.28.32 PM

This got easier and easier. When we first started going through things, I was really hesitant. That said, as I started to say “donate” or “giveaway” I felt a sense of weight being taken off my shoulders making the process a lot more fun! I was clearly concerned about this skirt…which I haven’t worn in over a year and a half!

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.28.48 PM

Debating over a denim jumpsuit…note the wine ;)!

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.29.50 PM

This took a little over an hour and a half. Finally, we had made our piles. Now was the time to vacuum the closet and start putting the “keep” items back in. Molly has a great system for this which I also shared below:

Create a home for each object that you keep. If it doesn’t have somewhere to go, then it’ll probably end up on the floor! (I can attest this totally works!)

My Organizing Advice:

  • Store like items together.
  • Use, buy, or make products that help you store items so you can SEE them. If you can’t see it, you won’t wear it!
  • Store clothing vertically so you can easily view all your items and so you don’t mess up piles when reaching for something at the bottom.
  • Store items in the color of the rainbow! It looks pretty and you can find things quickly.
  • For off season clothing- use clear tubs or bags. (Again, so you can quickly see inside if you need something!) You can also get labels- or both if you’re feeling fancy!
  • Include moth prevention treatment for winter sweaters.
  • Make sure your items are not stuffed to the max into one certain area. Your items will get wrinkled, they’ll be harder to see, and you won’t want to put them back after doing laundry! Try a new spot for that group of items or buy a new storage option that fits everything you have.
  • Organizing is like a puzzle. Sometimes you have to try a few strategies and can be a bit frustrating at times, but the final product is so fulfilling!

TIP: DO NOT go out and buy tons of storage boxes until you’ve cleaned out your closet. You may get rid of lots of things or you may be able to use things that you already have. Once you’ve paired like items together you’ll know exactly what you need to buy. (And don’t forget to measure your space so you know it will fit!)

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.29.58 PM

Piles of clothes and shoes were organized and slowly and surely we began to put things back in! I let Molly work her magic and watched as she completely re-did my system. She asked me questions about what I wore the most to make the system work best for me. Are you ready to see the finished product?

Screen Shot 2016-04-19 at 12.07.06 PM

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.30.59 PM

Molly took my sweaters and organized them between my two clear boxes. She also taught me that folding vertically is better than horizontally. This way, you can easily slide out the sweater or shirt you want to wear without disturbing the others. BRILLIANT!

Screen Shot 2016-04-19 at 12.13.05 PM

Molly was able to clear up so much space in my closet, that all my nice bags fit perfectly a top my closet shelf!

Screen Shot 2016-04-19 at 12.13.14 PM

I no longer have to stack my sweater boxes on top of each other. They now fit perfectly right next to each other. There is even room for that big sweater I had just chillin’ on the left side of my shelf!

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.31.46 PM

Molly took my belts and organized them into a drawer console. I also am storing some of my clutches and extra jewlery!

Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 4.31.22 PM

We added a shoe storage unit that hangs down. Molly was also able to free up a ton of space on the left of my closet to store all my boots and not-as-often worn shoes!

I am so thrilled with the results and I couldn’t be happier with the transformation. Thank you Molly for all your hard work. For those of you in the New York metropolitan area, please reach out to Molly for all your organizational needs. Her rates are the most affordable in the market and her work is totally worth the investment. You can check out her website here. If you mention my blog or my name, you get 25% off!!!

As always, thank you for visiting my blog. I really hope you enjoyed this post and learned a little more about organizing and spring cleaning. My life has been CHANGED. I can honestly attest that it has been a full week since this transformation and my closet still looks like this!!

Finally, I linked out some of the organizational items we used to transform my closet in case any of you want to tackle this on your own!

Hi Lovelies! It’s time for an Instagram outfit roundup! I have had a busy few weeks and I wore some cute new things I haven’t had a chance to shoot for the blog. I wanted to make sure I featured them so you all can shop my looks! This past weekend was full of errands for Matt and I. We had a super fun “snow weekend” the week before where we got nothing done, so we did our best to get caught up on everything :).  I always ALWAYS wear comfy shoes on the weekends…and these Charles David Over the knee boots are of course my favorite. These are definitely the best purchase I made all winter and lucky for you guys, they are still shop-able! I am actually considering buying another pair to save for next year!
