Dress: Stowaway Collection C/O White Duster: Old, Similar Style here and here Heels: Christian Louboutin  Necklace: INC Concepts

Happy Good Friday everyone! Matt and I are currently en route to Newport, Rhode Island for our babymoon! I am so excited to get away and celebrate the two of us and this little angel girl!

Stowaway Collection reached out to me and asked if they could send me a few options from their maternity line! I love this blue dress and the little extra detail on the sides of it. It’s SUPER comfortable and I could totally dress it down with a jean jacket and sneakers. I decided to dress it up for an Easter look with nude pumps and an oversized white duster jacket. I figure I should get use of this white duster before baby arrives. I doubt I’ll be able to keep this thing clean after she gets here haha! Stowaway  launched in the fall of 2016 and was designed to take you from desk to dinner, dressed up or down easily. All their products are made in the USA and are stretchy, comfortable and more importantly flattering! SCORE! They have really great items and I recommend you check out the rest of the site for more of their collection!

On another note, today I am 6 months pregnant! WOW! I really can’t believe I am already here. It’s gone so fast! I figure I should do a big bumpdate for you guys to give you a little more insight as to how I’m doing so far!

How far along are you?

I am 6 months pregnant today, or 24 weeks along. Only 4ish months to go. Again, remember how I said you are really pregnant for 10 months…? Yea…

Due Date:

August 4th

What are your cravings?

My intense cravings have sort of gone away and I no longer have any real aversions to anything. That said, I am loving citrus. I try to have a piece of grapefruit every day because it tastes DELICIOUS to me!

Boy or Girl?

Baby Girl!

What size is the baby?

Baby girl is the size of a large Zucchini or eggplant and weighs around 1.3- 1.5 lbs. I actually went to the doctor a few weeks ago and she told me that she thinks I am going to have a big baby which of course royally freaked me out. She said that my weight gain is on target but that my belly looks bigger than my gestational age which leads her to believe baby girl will be big. Matt was an 11 pound baby so this information is terrifying. I just hope she is a reasonably sized big baby lol but I’ll take what God gives me!

How much weight have you gained?

This was an interesting question but I am not shy so I don’t mind letting you guys in on this! I have gained around 15 lbs so far which is right on target for my height and previous weight. It is weird to just constantly watch your weight increase but it’s supposed to!

How are you sleeping?

Still sleeping well. I have had to start sleeping with a stretch boot for the planter fasciitis that has come on from the pregnancy which is a little annoying. That said, nothing has kept me from getting shut eye thus far. I LOOOOOVE my sleep.

Have you felt the baby kick yet?

Yes! I feel her everyday. She is getting stronger and stronger. It is such a weird sensation and feels like an alien is inside of me haha!

What has been the hardest thing about your pregnancy thus far?

In the beginning it was my back pain and body changing so much but at this point I am just going to generalize and say ALL PHYSICAL PAIN. I have had back pain since month three and now I have been diagnosed with planter fasciitis in my heels so I have been feeling the physical pains from pregnancy pretty hard. I am unable to exercise which is fine, but it can be very frustrating at times. I have also been dealing with a lot of swelling in my feet and calves and just general discomfort. That said, I don’t want to sound ungrateful and I would literally do anything for this little girl inside me. I’ll do whatever it takes to bring her into this world but that doesn’t mean it’s easy!

What do you miss about before being pregnant?

Wine! HAHA! I have finally gotten to the place where I actually miss drinking. I think it’s the weather getting warmer and the idea of sitting outside with a glass of rose just sounds glorious. I’ll have to save the Rose for fall this year!

Thoughts, and extras

We just moved into our new apartment and I started to unpack things and set up the nursery for baby girl. I have hung up a few of her little onsies and it is just all becoming so much more real. I can’t believe we are going to have this little person in our home in the next 4 months!!! I just love her so much already. I can’t wait to meet her!

I have recently been bitten by the “interior design” bug and started to really refresh our apartment! Matt and I bought these amazing prints and I couldn’t wait to make a collage wall with them :)! We also tried to incorporate some more personal art which is what you see on the left and right. The left piece was designed by my friend Dana! I asked her to create something very personal to give Matt for his birthday and it came out really awesome. The print on the right is actually the card Matt wrote when he proposed! I had it matted and framed for this collage wall!

Matt and I finally got around to getting our wedding photos (shot by the incredible Katie Pietrowski) printed. I knew I wanted a statement frame and when I came across these I just knew they were exactly what I needed! You can shop these frames and other sizes/colors here from Room and Board. The ones pictured are the Manhattan Frames in Stainless Steel…how appropriate ;)!

I love having a bar in the house for many reasons…but also because it is an awesome place to decorate! I linked some of the items below!

I had been wanting to doll up the apartment a bit by adding some Holiday cheer to the mix. It can be hard to decorate a small space, so I just added a few “extras” to my bar to make the house a little more festive!

Holiday Frame: I found this at T.J. Maxx! Here are some adorable alternative options: herehere & here Wine bottle jacket and hat (how cute?!!): EBay

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! Boy am I THRILLED it’s the weekend :)! One of my favorite places to shop is T.J. Maxx. I have been shopping there since I can remember! One of my first “words” was “Chessy-Smacks,” not because I loved Cheesy Smacks, but because I couldn’t actually say “T.J. Max” and that was as close as I could get! Hah! I say that because I found this adorable plaid dress there and was so excited to style it. They don’t have it online anywhere I can find, but did you know that you can shop online from T.J. Max now?! I linked a few similar styles so you guys can still shop the look :). Ok, enough about T. J. Maxx! I also wanted to talk about this awesome red coat! I recommend everyone have a statement coat in their wardrobe. You can throw it over a pair of jeans and flats or over a cute dress like I did here, and it always looks polished and chic! My sweet hubby picked this fire-engine red coat out for me and Icouldn’t love it more. Just pair it with a red lip and you are ready for anything ;)!

What do you guys think?

FUR-SUEDED

Happy #humpday lovelies! Animal prints and fabrics are all the rage this season, and I have to say I am a huge fan of the trend. That said, you don’t have to wear real fur to rock it! Example 1: This amazing faux fur vest from Asos! So cute right? I also fell in love with this suede dress by Zara and couldn’t wait to style it. Personally, I am waiting for it to go on sale before I buy it, but this is my way of dreaming about how I will style it once it does :)!!! What do you guys think? 🙂

This fall I have really gotten into skirts. All of my favorite retailers have been coming out one after the other with amazing skirts! I absolutely HATE being cold (I think it’s the southerner in me) so I have taken it upon myself to really take advantage of the cool (yet bearable) temperatures and to embrace “the skirt.” I have also fallen in love with the houndstooth pattern this season and even rocked it here in this look. Finally, how cute is this mini bucket bag from Ann Taylor?! It is only $39 and 50%  off the sale price so make sure to scoop it up! What do you guys think?

Happy Hump Day lovelies! We are half way through the week and that means it’s time for a new look to share with you all! If you follow me on Instagram you have seen that I am slightly obsessed with these Sam Edelman leopard booties. Don’t worry though if you aren’t a high heels lover-I added a similar pair in a lower heel :). This season is all about leopard and I love that it has become the new neutral! I wanted to create a look around these shoes and when I came across this Armani Exchange top I was inspired :)! A pop of purple with the leopard made this “rocker chic” look one of my faves!

What do you guys think? Leave a comment if you like it :)!

Happy Friday everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful week :). It is officially jacket weather so I wanted to feature a look that I could pair with this amazing trench coat from Zara. I work with an incredible team, and most of the time I style all my looks. That said, I was stumped with this skirt and couldn’t decide how to style it. My incredibly talented friend and producer Nathan Cates pulled the look together. I would never have thought to pair blue with this skirt and I am thrilled with how awesome this blouse paired with the skirt! Sometimes you just need a new pair of eyes. Don’t be afraid to ask for styling advice from people around you. They can inspire you and make you see something you hadn’t seen before :). Thank you Nathan!!

SHOES TO FALL FOR

Screen Shot 2015-10-15 at 4.41.01 PM

Every season, and every day for that matter, it is so easy to get wrapped up in trends. I find myself wanting to buy EVERYTHING and I get overwhelmed because I clearly can’t afford to do that! That is why each changing season I do my best to have the essentials in my wardrobe when it comes to footwear. I let myself splurge once in a while on one-offs, but the essentials are there. I put together a list of my six must-have shoes for the fall season. What do you guys think? Did I miss any? 😉
