The older I get, the more I appreciate quality in my clothing. I know I feature a lot of fun trendy pieces at low prices most of the time on my blog, but I am sure you have noticed some pricier items in some of my looks. I have found that as much as I love shopping at fast fashion retailers, the core pieces in my wardrobe need to be quality investment pieces that stand the test of time. I don’t understand investing in trendy items as trends come and go, but I do understand investing in timeless apparel, such as a perfect fitting blazer, a great pair of jeans or a classic nude or black high heel.
My good friend Samantha of the blog Bonjour Blue recently launched her line Landing NYC and the moment I saw these pieces I couldn’t WAIT to share it with you guys. As I am sure you have guessed, this gorgeous black cocktail dress is from her line and I am obsessed! This dress is such a staple in your wardrobe. Paired with a blazer on top you can wear it to the office and then take the blazer off and head to a black tie wedding. It is simple and classic and perfectly tailored. I couldn’t recommend her line more to you guys.
