I had the awesome opportunity to shoot with one of my very BAAAAST friends the other day and needless to say we had the best time ever. We dressed up in our girly best and strutted around town. Who doesn’t love a highwaisted skirt and tee? Check out where to buy both our looks below :)!

This romper was my favorite purchase that I made on my honeymoon. I just love a romper. It’s an easy one-piece option to throw on when finding a top and a bottom seems like too much to handle. This particular one is awesome because you can throw on a pair of flip flops for a casual look or add a heel for a polished ensemble. I paired this with my favorite summer heels by What for Shoes and a neutral bag that I bought at Macy’s. This bag was my wedding clutch and only cost $30! Happy Friday :)!

PINK & GREY MID-WEEK INSPO

Screen Shot 2015-08-31 at 12.36.27 PMOne of my favorite ways to style a look is to take a really girly piece like this pink lace skirt, and pair it with a sporty t-shirt. It gives the look a relaxed feel and somehow balances the outfit. I am also really excited to rock the grey and pink color combo for fall :). What do you guys think of this look?!

There are a few days out of the week where comfort seems to take a first place seat before fashion. Mondays seem to always be the day I let that happen. After a long weekend of fun I am usually exhausted on Monday morning and picking out an outfit can seem like a chore. That’s why I fell in love with this adorable dress from H & M. It basically feels like I am wearing a sheet but add a cute pair of shoes, a great bag and a statement necklace and I am good to go :). Happy Monday!

One of my favorite things about summer is relaxing on the weekends. Matt and I love our weekends together and try to get as much in and as much done as possible. In the summer, my go-to weekend uniform is always “comfy casual” which usually involves cut off jean shorts, a romper, or a sun dress in comfy flats. I love this easy going weekend look and thought I would share! I am also obsessed with this off the shoulder top that I got from Nordstrom. I bought in white as well which you can see in Monday’s blog post! It is so quintessentially summer and I just love it!

WHITE OUT

With only a few weeks left before Labor Day I thought I should post a white inspired looks since you’re not supposed to wear white after Labor Day. That being said, I totally don’t follow those rules and I wear white no matter what…but that’s besides the point. As I have mentioned before, I am really tall. I am all about finding affordable fashion, but there are some pieces that I simply can’t not spend up for. Example 1 are jeans. I have a very long torso which comes with long legs, which means I have a tough time finding jeans that fit. AG makes high waisted jeans with a long inseam and they are the bomb. I have gotten a ton of wear out of these amazing white jeans! I highly recommend them :)! I am also obsessed with these birkenstock sandals that I bought on my honeymoon when we were in Rome. They are 100% water proof so you can simply wipe them off when they get dirty!

One of my absolute favorite trends of summer 2015 has been that off the shoulder tops are all the rage. Who doesn’t love showing off a little clavicle ;)! I found this top on nordstrom.com and bought it in two colors. I have worn it about a million times so it was worth it! I also have some more incredible news…this skirt is on super clearance at Express and is only $29! I love this look for a weekend date or even for a night out while on vacation in a beach town. I paired this look with my fave neutral heels of the moment and great costume jewelry :).

There are a few dresses in my life that mean something more than just being another piece of clothing to add to the closet. My wedding dress, my Nana’s old mink collared dress and now this Maje dress are among some of the pieces that mean a lot to me. I got this dress on my honeymoon in Paris with my amazing hubby Matt. I tried it on and the way Matt looked at me when I walked out of the dressing room, I just knew I had to buy it. It’s feminine and flirty but classy and elegant all at the same time. It doesn’t need much, which is why I paired it with minimal jewelry and neutral shoes :). All this reminiscing makes me want to go back to Paris!!!

Fit and Flare may just be my absolute favorite silhouette. It is so flattering for all body types as a cinched waist and a flared skirt defines the waist while draping over a curvy lower body…which is good for me because my hips don’t lie! I loved this geometric patterned dress by Material Girl. They have a ton of different versions of this silhouette. I paired it with a neutral heel and a white blazer for a polished look! Also, please excuse the bright red tone of my skin…I had been on a boat with friends all weekend and got a little too much sun!! It is so important to not only wear sunscreen…but REAPPLY sunscreen!!

When I can’t decide what to wear, I usually go for a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I am personally a huge fan of gap t-shirts as I refuse to spend more than $12.99 on a t-shirt and I usually replace my tees twice a year, so Gap makes this an affordable habit of mine. Also, Gap makes tall sizing which is a plus for my torso which is the longest torso in the world and basically the same length as my legs…just kidding…but not really… SO ANYWAYS….I decided to take that classic look one step further by wearing this awesome jean skirt from AG and adding a pair of heels, a blazer and a belt! This skirt is kind of pricey, but I got it last summer and I have worn it 23489574985 times so I recommend investing. The fit and quality make it an awesome investment. This look is perfect for brunch or even a casual date :)! I hope you like it!
