What did you do this weekend?? One of my favorite things to do in the fall is to hit up the local NYC farmers markets all over the city. I had a blast on the Upper West Side and decided to put my best flannel forward to check out the spread :). Also, these jeans are on major clearance at only $19!!! Head over to to check them out!

#TGIF, am I right?! I was feeling boho chic today and decided to put together a look for my favorite L.A. friends :)! Lisa Q. this one’s for you! Fall and winter in warmer climates can be tough because you want to dress for the changing season, but the weather doesn’t cooperate. That is why I loved this look. The shorts and top are super comfy and lightweight and paired with these suede boots, I was able to look fall forward and stay cool ;). Also, this necklace is slowly becoming my favorite purchase EVER. Sadly, I got it at the NYC Bauble Bar sample sale and it looks like they don’t sell it anymore, but make sure to check out their site for similar styles!

What do you guys think?!

For today’s post, I wanted to feature one of my go-to looks when I can’t decide what to wear. Denim on Denim is such a great go-to and can look classy despite the casual fabric of denim. I decided to take it one step further and pair a denim skirt with booties and a slouchy sweater for fall. I also love that fringe is in this season and fell in love with this Aldo bag. All these pieces are great basics and can be mixed and matched with a ton of different looks. What do you guys think?

One of my favorite ways to dress for fall is to recycle pieces from my wardrobe from season to season. I bought this dress this past spring at Ann Taylor. It is one of those dresses that only really works in the transition of a changing season. I loved the simplicity of this look and felt like it didn’t need much, just a great pair of boots and a bag. What do you guys think?

I know I have mentioned my obsession with fall multiple times on my blog, so I figured it would be awesome to share with my readers the essential items you should have in your closet when entering into this season! One of my favorite trends this season is the wool shawl. It is an awesome layering piece and a great alternative to a coat when the weather is cool  but not cool enough to justify a heavy coat. Another essential is a structured bag. I highly recommend investing in a nice structured bag. They look so chic and even if they are big in size, with structure they look fancy. TJ Maxx has some awesome options at amazing prices! The third essential for fall is a crisp white button down shirt. I just bought one from Ann Taylor because they make tall sizing 😉 but I really wanted this tuxedo style shirt from WHBM as it is so chic. The fourth essential is OF COURSE a floppy wool hat. I have a few of these, one in black and one in navy. I am longing after this amazing burgundy one and I think I may have to break down and buy it! It is such a great accessory to top off your look; See what I did there ;). The fifth essential for fall is a pair of faux leather or coated black pants. I have a pair from Seven Jeans, which you can see me wearing in this instagram post and I am obsessed with them. Finally, I highly recommend having a pair of comfortable and elegant heeled black boots. My Mom bought me an awesome pair of high heeled black boots for Christmas last year and I couldn’t get enough of them. I paired them with dresses, jeans, pants, you name it! These Charles by Charles David ones are such a great price and the heel isn’t too high.

Well, that sums up my fall essentials list. Feel free to take all of these items and wear them together :)!

Jumpsuits are so in and have been for a few years now. They can be incredibly chic when paired with a great heel. The only problem for me has been the fact that my torso is the length of a football field and no rompers are really made to accommodate that! HA! That said, when I came upon this amazing strapless jumpsuit by Material Girl I couldn’t wait to style it! With only a few weeks left to wear open toed heels I chose this adorable pair of White House Black Market chunky heeled sandals to pair with this look. They are on sale right now so make sure to scoop them up for next season! I also decided to throw on a tuxedo blazer and wear it off the shoulder giving the look an edge. What do you guys think?

Happy Friday all my lovelies!!! If you know me well, then you know my absolute favorite color to wear is green. I know it may not be yours, but the reason I mention it is because I think it is so important to know what colors suit you best. I have very green eyes and I know that when I wear green, they pop. My skin tone and eye color look best with jewel tones and when adding color into my wardrobe I love to add a pop of jewel tone :). Why not look your best always, right? 🙂 I got this skirt last year from Club Monaco and it has become an amazing wardrobe staple. This piece can be paired with a t-shirt and sneakers, or with a blouse and great heels for a workwear look like I did here! What do you guys think?

Happy first day of fall everybody! I know I have mentioned how much I love fall in past blog posts, but today I can officially OFFICIALLY say it has begun. One of my favorite color combinations this season is burgundy and blush. I wanted to put together a cute transitional look that is perfect for the weather change. I struggle sometimes with what to wear when the morning is cool and the evening is warm #fallproblems ;). I have found that by layering, you can stay warm in the AM and cool down in the eve. Just throw this jacket around your waist on your walk home! What do you guys think?

When it comes to boyfriend jeans, I have had a love/hate relationship with them.  It has taken me quite some time to find that perfect pair that I love. Boyfriend jeans have never fit me that well because I have more of an hourglass shape. I would try on a pair of boyfriend jeans and my hips would just fill out all the “relaxed” areas…which was NOT the most fun I have ever had in a dressing room to say the least ;). I had given up on finding a pair that worked for me until I found these amazing jeans at GAP! They are only $79.95 and today GAP is having a 40% off sale!!! They are super comfortable and fit just the way a boyfriend jean should: effortlessly relaxed. I loved pairing them with a casual and comfy tee. This tee is so soft and I love that the back had a little surprise opening which adds a bit of sex appeal to this relaxed look. Finally, I completed the look with one of my favorite pair of heels by Chinese Laundry which are also on sale today! What do you guys think?

It’s the weekend FINALLY! Did this week drag by for anyone else? Friday nights for me, usually mean date night with the hubby so I got excited to share one of my favorite looks for a night out with my love. The best yet sometimes annoying part about NYC is that I walk EVERYWHERE. This only becomes a problem when I decide to wear an awesome pair of high heels. What I try to do is pick a look that will look just a cute with flats which I usually throw and stow in my bag. I loved that this girly look paired just as well with a pair of fresh white kicks as it did with a pair of stilettos! What do you guys think?
