TO NANA AND BUMPA’S HOUSE WE GO

This past weekend, Matt and I had the pleasure of visiting my Nana and Bumpa down in St. Mary’s, Georgia. In case you were wondering who Bumpa is, he is my Grandfather!! I couldn’t say “Grandpa” when I was little but somehow came up with “Bumpa” and it stuck :)! Anyways, it was wonderful to get out of chilly NYC and into some warm weather, not to mention spending some much needed quality time with Nana and Bumps. We had a blast just relaxing in the heat and taking a little time to log off from social media and the rest of the world. Now we are back in NY and it’s back to the grind so I wanted to share with you guys what I wore, and some tips of what to do if you are ever in the area!

When traveling I like to be comfortable, but also look nice. You never know who you will bump into! The rapper 50 Cent was on our flight home for goodness sake!! Every season, I always buy a fresh new pair of white canvas sneakers. That said, I refuse to spend more than $30 on them since I buy them so often. I always go to H & M to stock up on mine! These are so cute, comfy and perfect for traveling! I also love them paired with my black and white striped dress later on in this post. They are super versatile and cheap; A total score in my book! I threw on my favorite and most comfortable pair of jeans along with a light weight navy sweater and my new favorite white duster coat from White House Black Market. Scoop these pieces up while you can as they are all on sale!! I linked my whole outfit plus my luggage below!

Nana and I!!

We arrived in Jacksonville Friday morning and drove to St. Mary’s which is only about 25 minutes from the airport. My grandparents live on a gorgeous golf community called Osprey Cove and I couldn’t get over how green and lush everything was! It was so nice to hear the birds chirping as opossed to the sirens of 6th avenue. Anyways, my husband Matt and Bumpa went golfing for the day while Nana and I jumped back in the car and drove to St. Simon’s Island off the coast of Georgia. We had a beautiful lunch at Echo restaurant at the King and Prince Resort. It was absolutely gorgeous and the food was delicious. It was only an hour away and I highly recommend taking a detour if in the area!

The rest of the weekend was filled with shopping and bopping and enjoying the nice weather. We ended up having Easter dinner at home with Nana and Bumpa so I ended up barefoot for most of the evening lol, but I wanted to showcase these amazing heels that I bought for the weekend on the blog. They are SO comfortable and now currently on sale for $40 less than I paid for them grrr.
