This weekend, we ran a billion errands. Haha I swear! The key to successful errand running, is to dress comfortably.  Matt and I are so busy during the week, which makes weekends our prime “errand running” time ;). It is key to be comfortable running errands in manhattan considering you have no car and all errands are run on foot. That said, I love looking nice and somewhat fashion forward when doing so! Not sure why, but I swear it makes the errand running way more fun! It was super nice this weekend and so I decided to keep it simple with leggings and a black turtleneck. I added the red and black buffalo flannel as a fun twist. I am very conservative in my fashion forward dressing, but I am still such a fan of  the “shirt around the waist” trend. I hope you all like this outfit 🙂

The coolest part about writing a blog has been reconnecting with people. I had bumped into my old friend Alex (he is a photographer now and we went to Elon together) at a reunion and immediately decided it was time to collaborate. I wanted to do a blog post featuring these amazing earrings by Vixity Jewelry and Alex had this really cool idea to do a night shoot. When I tell you it was FREEZING, that is an understatement. I couldn’t feel my toes for an hour after ha! That said, I am thrilled with how cool these photos turned out. It was super fun, if also incredibly freezing.

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner so I wanted to style a great date night outfit. This navy blue Guess jumpsuit is awesome. It is super comfy but also chic. I’m sorry you can’t see more of it in this post…it was just too cold to take my coat off! I linked it out down below so you can see it haha.

Hello my sweet lovelies! I am wearing my favorite sweater coat again. I find that this sweater is so so versatile! I wanted to put together a very NYC look. The NYC uniform almost always includes black. I tried to break up the black with this grey marled sweater coat and I love how it looks paired together. How cool is the backdrop of these pics? I live about three blocks from flatiron and have never shot there. I think it has become my new favorite location!

I don’t know about you guys, but this week was so busy! Short weeks have a tendency to be even more stressful when you are trying to fit everything in at work in four days! I am just happy that the weekend starts now. Do you guys have any fun plans? Stay safe in the snow!

I just got back from Las Vegas with my Mom and sister where we spent three amazing days on an all girls trip! The trip was fabulous and I wanted to give you guys a bit of an inside look into where we stayed, what we did and of COURSE what we wore :)!

To be honest, the weekend started out on a sour note. I was literally on my way to the airport when I received a text from a friend telling me that Celine Dion’s husband, Renee Angelil had passed away just that morning. To give some backstory, I am an ENORMOUS Celine Dion fan, and I have been my entire life. My sister and Mom are too. What you will probably find most surprising, is to know that I have never had the chance to see her perform. Timing hadn’t been on my side in the past, so we decided it was of course going to be the priority for this trip to Vegas. We booked our tickets to her show and counted down the minutes until we would finally see Ms. Dion rock it! When I found out Renee had passed away and that she of course and understandably wasn’t going to perform, I was sooo bummed. It seemed almost too ironic to have happened. That said, I decided that regardless of the situation, I was still on my way to  Vegas and more importantly with my best girls so I was going to enjoy every moment. It ended up being an epic weekend. We had a ball and Celine was always playing in the background as the soundtrack of our weekend. My Mom even recorded a silly video of myself singing “The Power of the Dream” that crazy enough has over 5.6K views! You can check that out here. It was honestly such a great time, and even though I didn’t get to see Celine, we had an amazing time and we will be back!!!

Anyways, enough sappiness for one blog post! Let’s focus on the fashion and fun!

I arrived in Vegas late, around 10:30 P.M. Vegas time which is 1:30 A.M. East coast time. We were all coming in from different places; NY, Nashville and Charlotte so we did our best to try and coordinate arrival time. I knew I was going to be doing a lot of sitting and perhaps some waiting depending on our flight status’ so I wanted to wear something super comfy. I got these leggings from Asos the week before and I am telling you they are AMAZING. They are faux leather and make a look seem a bit more fancy despite being a pair of leggings. I paired them with a turtleneck, over the knee boots and the star of this weekend- this black and white faux fur vest. It made it’s rounds this weekend and you will notice all of us had it on at one point haha! I got this vest in Manhattan Beach at this awesome boutique for $18!! Yes, $18! Sadly I cant find it anywhere on-line but I linked out almost identical options for you guys to shop! Finally, I almost always travel with my oversized Louis Vuitton bag. It fits everything and is super durable. Matt bought it for me almost three years ago and it still looks brand new-so I would say it was worth the investment ;)!

We ended up staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club which is a part of the Flamingo hotel and casino. It was awesome as it was right on the strip and across from Caesar’s. We had what felt like our own apartment which was perfect and we highly recommend it.The weather was gorgeous on our first day and we spent it bopping around and checking out the sites and of course shopping! We had lunch at Hexx Kitchen and Bar and it was so delicious-seriously try it. After that we decided to try our hand at gambling. We had all given ourselves a certain amount of money to gamble with and less than an hour later lost everything haha! We learned the hard way that the slot machines are bogus!!! I linked out all three of our outfits below. The coolest thing about the three of us is that we all have three unique styles which makes it so fun to shop together. I am constantly getting inspired by my Mom and sister.

For dinner the first night we ended up eating family style at Carmine’s. We had some great outfits planned but we were so exhausted from our full day of shopping, gambling and then early afternoon drinks we decided to skip dressing up and have an early dinner and retire back to the hotel room.

The next day, we shopped and enjoyed walking the strip and taking in the sites. We decided to take a cab over to the Wynn hotel which is where I had stayed with Matt the last time I was in Vegas. We ended up sitting outside at the Parasol Bar for a few hours and had some delicious cocktails and took some pictures :)!

Hey Lovelies! I hope you are all surviving what feels like arctic temperatures this week. I am usually ok in this sort of weather but not when it suddenly creeps up like this! We had no transition into winter! Ok, enough of my weather complaints. 2015 brought back fur-all kinds of fur from faux to real minks. I have always been a fan of fur in every kind.  That said, vintage fur is the way to go. This coat was given to me by my husband’s father. His aunt had quite the collection of furs and I was the lucky lady who got to take them! I linked a few similar options below, but what I highly recommend to you guys is to take a trip to your local vintage shop to scavenge for some vintage furs. For those of you who live outside of NYC, vintage shops hold incredible treasures that New Yorkers would otherwise scoop up. When I lived in NC, I used to find incredible gems! For the rest of this look, I decided to stick with all black and pair an oversized sweatshirt with this fancy fur. I love to mix casual with fancy as it gives the look some depth. I hope you guys like this look. Comment below if so :)!

One of my Christmas presents this year was an amazing Nikon DSLR camera given to me by my hubby :). I was so excited to get started using the camera that we decided to shoot a look while home with the family! How great are these pics?! Matt is a natural! Anyways, my Mom gave me this awesome sweater coat for Christmas and I was super excited to style it. It is so versatile and an awesome topper to wear during the freezing cold temperatures of the New Year! I hope you like the look. Comment down below if so :)!

Happy New Year everybody! I am so excited for my first blog post of 2016! The older I get, the more I have come to appreciate one color palate in an outfit. It is an easy go-to when you don’t want to have to think about matching! I am also a really big fan of winter whites and creams. For this look, I paired a chunky cable knit sweater over a quilted dress. I broke it up with darker tights and creamy boots.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and a great New Year! I spent the week with my family in NC and had the best time relaxing and catching up with those most important to me. Do you have any resolutions this year? I am going to try and eat a little healthier and try and curb my popcorn addiction. It has been four days and already I am going through withdrawals! Help!
