The older I get, the more I appreciate quality in my clothing. I know I feature a lot of fun trendy pieces at low prices most of the time on my blog, but I am sure you have noticed some pricier items in some of my looks. I have found that as much as I love shopping at fast fashion retailers, the core pieces in my wardrobe need to be quality investment pieces that stand the test of time. I don’t understand investing in trendy items as trends come and go, but I do understand investing in timeless apparel, such as a perfect fitting blazer, a great pair of jeans or a classic nude or black high heel.

My good friend Samantha of the blog Bonjour Blue recently launched her line Landing NYC and the moment I saw these pieces I couldn’t WAIT to share it with you guys. Landing is an American luxury clothing brand offering the highest quality domestically produced garments direct to its customers at fair prices!

As I am sure you have guessed, this gorgeous black cocktail dress is from her line and I am obsessed! This dress is such a staple in your wardrobe. Paired with a blazer on top you can wear it to the office and then take the blazer off and head to a black tie wedding. It is simple and classic and perfectly tailored. I couldn’t recommend her line more to you guys.

Check out the rest of Landing’s line here and the Kickstarter campaign here! Also, be on the lookout for more items from this gorgeous collection on my blog! Congrats Sam on an incredible line!

Happy Friday everybody! I hope you all had a great week! I am so looking forward for the weekend…this week went by at a snail’s pace!

Fall is upon us and I can finally wear jeans outside in NYC without feeling like I will pass out from the heat. This summer has been super hot, has it not? I had been on the lookout for a pair of “Mom Jeans” that aren’t super unflattering. My husband HATES this trend, but sometimes you just have to dress for yourself, you know what I mean?! I came across these jeans on and knew they were perfect! I loved the distressing and the fit is on point. They are a little baggy but not too baggy so I don’t lose my shape. I think that is key when wearing this trend. Try and find a pair that doesn’t make you look like you are wearing a diaper haha! I decided to pair them with an oversized button down (which is actually a dress but obviously I could never wear this as a dress!) and my elegant Christian Louboutin heels. I thought the dressy heels gave the look a softer edge against the distressed denim. I hope you agree!

This weekend we are staying in town and getting some much needed errands done. I need to swap my summer wardrobe out for my fall/winter wardrobe which is a necessary but daunting task. Cheers to the weekend and to all of you who follow along!

Happy Sunday everybody! I am back from our week long vacation in Southampton and wanted to share this great transitional fall look. I also promise to gather up all my outfits from last week and post them later on!

Fall is my second favorite season of the year…summer being my fave season of all. I love layering and transitional looks…what I don’t love is that that means winter is coming :(! I found these trousers and top at and fell in love…or in luurve as Celine says hehe! These trousers seriously feel like pajama pants and are under $20! I paired them with my Christian Louboutin heels but love that I could pair this look with white sneakers and feel just as chic. I am also loving the tie front blouse trend that I am seeing this season. It adds dimension to a basic blouse.

I feel like I have been gone for so long and actually look forward to heading back to work tomorrow. I am also super excited about book club that we are having next Tuesday! We are reading Sweetbitter and I am excited to discuss it. Have any of you read it?! Let me know in the comments below!

I hope you all have a great week!
