This look was from my very first shoot for the blog. I remember how excited I was when my husband bought this for me on my honeymoon and I just knew I had to shoot it as one of my firsts posts.

This look is probably my favorite blog post ever! I remember I had just started the blog the week before and I posted this photo and got like 100 likes on my picture…which was crazy at the time since I only had like 200 followers haha!

This was a really fun shoot…the weather was starting to change and I was loving styling outfits for the changing climates. I took a summer dress and added a pair of boots to it for a transitional fall look. My Mom bought me this sheath dress at Mango when she came to visit in NYC. I love styling this dress :). Thanks Mom!

This is the best example on the blog as to how to go from downtown to uptown-all I changed were the shoes! My photographer Brandon had just moved to the upper west side and we shot all day in the location. This was on his front stoop :). I just love this skirt because it is so versatile!

Screen Shot 2015-09-24 at 12.40.47 PM

This look was my first “workwear” inspired outfit. Basic but with a pop of leopard…the new neutral ;)!

This outfit was such a blast to shoot. We went into a farmer’s market and asked if we could use the corn as a prop. They said yes, and we couldn’t stop laughing ha!

This look was inspired by fall in L.A. I loved pairing the shorts and boots together for another transitional look.

Screen Shot 2015-10-15 at 5.26.20 PM

This skirt was a tough option to shoot because I couldn’t decide how to style it. My friend Nathan came up with the idea to pair it with this blue top and it totally worked. I love how it came together.

You can never go wrong with sunshine and purple :).

Screen Shot 2015-11-18 at 3.41.42 PM

I loved shooting this look…I had won these booties in a contest on Instagram and I decided to pair them with a really lady like and girly look. I was also shooting this with Vixity Jewelry and thought the necklace really pulled it all together.

This was my Thanksgiving/Holiday look. How amazing were the leaves in the background?! Madison Square Park has become my new favorite place to shoot!

Screen Shot 2015-12-04 at 3.55.11 PM

All black everything is my new uniform. It is so easy to throw on when you don’t know what to wear! I paired this look with the Way Fair sunglasses and then brought out my inner “boss” haha!

Screen Shot 2015-09-21 at 9.34.03 AM

Boyfriend jeans and a black tee…you can’t go wrong-although my husband may disagree ;)! He hates boyfriend jeans! Oh well, I cant please everyone ha!

These last two looks are the best looks from my year. My wedding day was the best day of my life where I got to wear the most beautiful dress I’d ever seen. These women are my style icons and inspirations. My beautiful Mother, Nana and Sister. Thank you for inspiring me always and giving me the courage to start my blog!

Your support has been amazing and I can’t say thank you enough. I also want to thank Jay for all his help in making this blog possible. Without him, this site wouldn’t exist. I also want to thank Brandon for capturing each look with ease…he makes me look good! I wish you all health and happiness! Happy New Year!

I thought it would be fun to link out some of my most recent Instagram looks for those of you who want to shop them 🙂

Happy Holiday’s everybody! I hope you are all enjoying this time with those you love! The Holidays are such a special time of the year. This year, we are heading to Los Angeles to spend time with Matt’s family who live on Manhattan Beach…tough life, am I right ;0)? Then we are heading back to my hometown of NC to celebrate the New Year! When dressing for the Holidays, red is my go-to color. I just love love this A-line skirt as it makes a statement and is really lady like and classy. I paired it with a basic white button down that I ordered from Ann Taylor. They sell tall sizes so I was super excited to try this on for size. Finally, I paired the look with black tights, heels and a statement necklace. I really love how it all came together. Also, don’t you love the backdrop of this post haha! I am so jealous of all the other bloggers who can go to actual Christmas Tree farms. This is as close as we get in NYC!

I have recently been bitten by the “interior design” bug and started to really refresh our apartment! Matt and I bought these amazing prints and I couldn’t wait to make a collage wall with them :)! We also tried to incorporate some more personal art which is what you see on the left and right. The left piece was designed by my friend Dana! I asked her to create something very personal to give Matt for his birthday and it came out really awesome. The print on the right is actually the card Matt wrote when he proposed! I had it matted and framed for this collage wall!

Matt and I finally got around to getting our wedding photos (shot by the incredible Katie Pietrowski) printed. I knew I wanted a statement frame and when I came across these I just knew they were exactly what I needed! You can shop these frames and other sizes/colors here from Room and Board. The ones pictured are the Manhattan Frames in Stainless Steel…how appropriate ;)!

I love having a bar in the house for many reasons…but also because it is an awesome place to decorate! I linked some of the items below!

I had been wanting to doll up the apartment a bit by adding some Holiday cheer to the mix. It can be hard to decorate a small space, so I just added a few “extras” to my bar to make the house a little more festive!

Holiday Frame: I found this at T.J. Maxx! Here are some adorable alternative options: herehere & here Wine bottle jacket and hat (how cute?!!): EBay

Happy Holidays!! With the Holiday Season come’s many a holiday party and get together which means holiday dressing! I love the colors of the season, red being one of my favorite colors to wear. I think it is so festive and bright and if you are going for a “stand out look” it is a go-to color. I am not really comfortable looking too sexy when getting dressed so this is about as far as I will go haha! I added a blazer as to not look too over the top. Do you have any fun parties coming up this season? Please share in the comments :)!

You Guys!!! Christmas is NEXT WEEK! I absolutely can not believe how fast time has been going! With the Holiday fast approaching, I wanted to put together another gift guide for you all but I decided to change it up by featuring a gift guide for the man in your life! Whether you’re shopping for Dad, Grandpa, brother or bae…this list should have you covered! First of all, these awesome personalized whiskey rocks are so cool. I am hoping Matt doesn’t read this post so he is surprised when he receives them haha! I also really love the men’s lip kit as it is a little out of the box, but I think we all know at least one man who appreciates a lip treatment in the cold weather! These tie boxes by The Tie Bar are so awesome and run under $100. It is the perfect gift for Dad. The whiskey book goes perfectly with the whiskey rocks set for a manhattan lover :). I also really love this fit-bit as the color is really cool but neutral enough for a man to wear all the time and keep up with his fitness goals. This Herschel dopp kit is also awesome because it is vinyl making it easy to clean as you just wipe off the mess! I also really like a bright dopp kit so you can instantly locate it in a packed bag or a dark under the sink cabinet! Finally, these sneakers are so cool for the fashion forward dude in your life. I hope you like the items I chose and that you are inspired to invest in some last minute holidayy shopping!  I linked all these items out below, and you can also find everything in my on-line shop as well!

Happy Holidays!

1. Personalized whiskey rocks set 2. Jack Black lip balm for men 3. The Tie Bar Tie Box Gift Set 4. North American Whiskey Guide 5. Fit bit 6. Herschel Dopp Kit 7. Adidas Sneakers

It’s almost the weekend everybody!!! I feel like I always say this when I post towards the end of the week but I just love my weekends spent with my hubby in the city :). I thought I would feature a look that is a little more conservative. Sometimes I have to remind myself that not everyone lives in NYC and is as willing to take as many fashion risks, so I put together a look that would work no matter where you live. I found this jumper at Banana Republic last season and I love it. It can go through all seasons which I really appreciate in a dress. Sadly it is no longer available but I found two identical styles both under $150! For a dress that works through multiple seasons I think it is worth the investment! I decided to keep it simple with a black turtleneck, tights and these amazing over the knee boots!

What do you think?

It’s the Holiday season! Which means it is time for gift-giving! I LOVE giving gifts but the problem with loving to give gifts is that I have a personal competition with myself to be more creative every year! This year, I discovered the Nordstrom.com gift tab and I am so thrilled. I literally can find something for everyone on my list! This list is for the lady in your life. Each gift is under $50 too which is another gift in and of itself! I hope you like the items on my gift list!

  1. Jewelry Box 2. Festive Shot Glasses 3. Kate Spade To-Go Mug 4. Bling Brush 5. Mongrammed shawl scarf 6. Ear Cuff

Happy Friday Lovelies!! I hope you all had a great week. I had the MOST stressful and busy week. When I get busy, I sadly have a lot less time to put together looks. When I get too busy to put something together, my go-to is and has always been to wear all black. Black matches black and it is slimming…so naturally it is my go-to. For this look, I paired my favorite black A.G. Jeans with a pair of booties, black belt and sweater for a chic yet comfy look. I tried to upgrade it by adding a pair of Ray Bans and this awesome new lipstick I just bought by Milani that you can find at most pharmacies! I hope you guys like my look!

Let me know what you think in the comments below :)!
