This past weekend was one of the best weekend’s I’ve had all year! I say that because not only was my sister and her husband Mark in town, but one of my dearest friends got engaged!! It really was such a beautiful weekend filled with laughter and love and I wanted to share some of the highlights with you all :)!
I don’t know about you guys, but the best part of being with family is honestly just being together. Whether it be running about town, or just sitting at home on the couch, I have such a blast with family.
Britta arrived later on Friday evening so we went to bed early and woke up early to get a head start on the day.
We decided to get a work out in before the day started so I of COURSE had to take Britta to Mile High Run Club for an awesomely efficient 45 minute workout class. We took the “Dash 28” class which is 28 minutes of interval training followed by 15 minutes of strength training. If you know me, you know I used to hate running and one of my worst childhood memories was being forced to join the summer track team! That said, since taking class at Mile High, I have gotten so much better at running and honestly enjoy taking class. They organize the workout so that you are only ever running at the most four minutes in a row but focusing on intervals, and you can do anything for that long! Britta also really enjoyed class and it felt great to get a little workout in before our brunching began ;)!
We had brunch at one of my absolute favorite brunch spots in NYC, La Pecora Bianca! Their food and cocktails are so delicious! I highly recommend this place for breakfast lunch and dinner! Luckily for Matt and I, it’s right down the street from our apartment.

After brunch, Britta and I decided to venture out to do a little shopping! The weather was terrible and rainy but we decided to venture out anyways! I wore my favorite hunter boots, A.G. jeans, Louis Vuitton bag and Calvin Klein trench coat. I topped off my look with my favorite accessory…my sweet nephew Quasar! Can you spot him??!

He is the sweetest little guy! He just loves to be swaddled into a scarf and come along for the ride. He is like a little baby haha! Miss him already :(!
After a day of shopping we came back and got dressed for dinner! I wore my favorite Material Girl Jumpsuit and Britta wore a gorgeous tuxedo romper by Nasty Gal! We had dinner at STK Prime and ate our weight in food haha. We took it easy after dinner and went to bed at a reasoable hour like the mature adults that we are ;). Sadly Britta and Mark had to leave early Sunday morning and I miss them already!!

When I decided to share this weekend with you guys, I had only planned on telling you all about my weekend spent with my family. That was until I went to a birthday brunch for my dear friend Brooke, who had JUST gotten engaged Sunday morning! It was such a celebration and there was so much love surrounding the group that I just had to share on the blog.

Brooke and Brian got engaged on Sunday morning before her birthday brunch at Rosie’s! She was totally shocked as were we! Props to Brian for keeping it a surprise! We had such a wonderful meal filled with laughter and love. I sure do love these friends of mine! I am so so happy for you, Brooke and Brian! This is such an exciting time! Cheers to the happy couple!
