Happy Friday everyone!!! This week surprisingly flew by which is funny because I thought the next weeks would go by at a snail’s pace since I’m so close to baby’s arrival. Work has been super busy which has kept me occupied! For those of you who don’t know, blogging is my part time hobby. I actually work full time for Iconix Brand Group as a Marketing Manager for a portfolio of women’s and home brands in NYC. I love my job, but it has been SUPER tough to get up in the morning and go to work. The mornings are my toughest time and having to get up early, shower and look presentable all before 9 A.M. is the last thing I want to do most days. It’s also especially hard to commute in this heat! I actually have a ridiculously short commute (I work 20 blocks from my apt.) but the subway and walking in the summer heat is tough on me. I am also thinking that maybe it’s time for me NOT to take the subway! Can you imagine if my water broke on the subway! Ha! WORST NIGHTMARE!
Anyways, that was quite a rant haha! Let’s talk this look! Now that I am 37 weeks pregnant, I clearly am not planning on buying any more maternity clothing. That ship has sailed! I have been wearing some of the same things on repeat and just updating the accessories to create different looks. I was super excited when Sugarfix by BaubleBar asked if I wanted to try out their accessories. I am a huge fan of BaubleBar and had no idea they had another collection available at Target! They sent me a number of pieces and I really love them! This turquoise set is gorgeous and I love a statement earring and necklace and especially a statement set. I kept the rest of the look pretty minimal since I wanted the jewelry to be the focus of the outfit. I paired it with these Asos sandals which are the only nice shoe that fit me right now. I actually had to take them to the shoe cobbler to get the band and clasp extended because they were getting too tight haha!

37 weeks!! 9 Months pregnant and 3 weeks away from my due date!

What are your cravings?
I am SO thirsty all the time. I can’t get enough water, iced tea or anything refreshing. It may be because it’s just so dang hot out but either way I am constantly drinking fluids! I am also still loving fruit, especially blueberries and peaches. I also had the most delicious sausage, egg and cheese sandwich the other day and that sounds REALLY good right about now ha!

What size is the baby?
We had our 36 week ultrasound and were told that the baby was already 6 lbs 12 ounces so at this point it’s been a week and they gain a half lb per week until birth so I think she is probably over 7 lbs already! They think she will be 8-8.5 lbs at birth! EEK!
How much weight have you gained?
42 lbs. Insane. I will say the swelling has gotten worse and a lot of my weight gain is from that. At this point too, the baby is gaining a ton of weight so I am feeling that as well. It’s not easy to carry the weight around. Since I haven’t been able to exercise throughout my pregnancy I have tried to walk at least a few miles a day. I still do, but it is REALLY tough to walk with the extra weight…phew!
How are you sleeping?
I am sleeping well but I get up 3-4 times a night to go to the restroom now! The baby is just sitting right on my bladder!
Have you felt the baby kick?
Yep! Baby girl is a mover and a shaker. She is also getting so big that she has started to kick my ribs. The other day I was in a meeting and she kicked me so hard in the rib that I yelled out! My poor co-workers thought I was in labor and freaked out!!
What has been the hardest thing about your pregnancy thus far?
If you’ve been following along you know this hasn’t been a cake walk for me but I am tired of complaining. I am just so excited to meet this baby girl and start our little family. I only have three weeks to go, maybe less so I can handle whatever comes!!
What do you miss about before being pregnant?
WINE!
Thoughts, and extras
I can’t believe Matt and I only have these next few weeks just the two of us. Going to give him extra snuggles and cuddles because I’m sure we will both be obsessed with giving baby girl all the love when she arrives!!
